Question 5

Answer

The set includes pairs up to 50 lbs each, with a combined total weight of 550 lbs across all 20 dumbbells. Body-Solid is a well-regarded commercial-grade brand, and their rubber hex dumbbells are built for repeated daily use. The hexagonal shape prevents rolling, and the rubber coating protects both the dumbbell and your flooring during workouts.

Question 6

Answer

Rubber hex dumbbells are one of the most floor-friendly options available — the rubber coating significantly reduces impact compared to bare iron or chrome dumbbells. That said, dropping heavy dumbbells from height can still damage hardwood or tile floors, so we recommend using a rubber gym mat or flooring tiles beneath the rack area. The hex shape also keeps dumbbells stationary when set down, reducing the risk of rolling accidents.

Question 7

Answer

The dumbbells themselves require zero assembly — they arrive ready to use. The GDR60B rack does require assembly, and Redhawk's team will handle that completely as part of your delivery appointment. You won't need any tools or mechanical experience; just show us where you want it set up.

Question 10

Answer

Buying a complete set like this is more convenient and cost-effective per pair than purchasing individual dumbbells over time, and you get the full 5–50 lb range immediately organized and ready to use. Compared to adjustable dumbbells (like Bowflex SelectTech), fixed hex dumbbells are more durable for fast-paced workouts, easier to grab quickly between sets, and hold up better under heavy use — though they do require significantly more floor space. For serious home gyms where space allows, a fixed set like this is generally the preferred choice.
